I recently visited the grave of my dad’s father who died in the 60’s and something weird happened. I felt weird thinking this is where he ended, I didn’t know much about him. I realized the way we live with social media today, maybe we’re more blessed than we realize. I know it’s a weird thing to know the first thing I thought of was social media when I went to the gravesite, let me explain.

We are connected to our family and friends more than ever. I’m friends with family on Facebook I see very little of, but I get to see into their world more than I ever would. I can see the Facebook of family members that have passed. It’s weird but it’s also a reminder of who that person was on a different level. That person posted on their social media, it was their thoughts. It wasn’t an idea that someone had of that person.

According to GlobalWebIdex, the average user logs 1.72 hours per day on social platforms, which represents about 28 percent of all online activity.

Today we are more connected than ever. With social media it’s kind of a way you live on.
